RapidWeaver goes Universal

RealMac Software has released RapidWeaver 3.5, bringing native compatibility for Intel-based Macs to the website building software. A new streamlined interface integrates themes into the main window for easy selection, while a new blog page style features coherent design throughout the archive and category pages to provide improved continuity. RapidWeaver 3.5 offers full perma-link support, as well as Ping support to easily notify websites that a blog has been updated. An enhanced link panel enables users to link directly to blog entries, podcasts, or a particular photo from an album or page resource file. RapidWeaver is priced at $40, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

Media Inspector

A new improved Media Inspector allows users to take control of images by adding borders and drop shadows from within RapidWeaver, negating the need to rely on expensive image editing tools.

CSS-Based Photo Albums

RapidWeaver 3.5 offers an updated photo album that uses CSS rather than rigid tables to display images.

Themes

RealMac Software has added seven new graphical themes created by professional designers. The themes are designed custom for RapidWeaver, and include numerous variations.

SFTP Support

The update also provides Secure FTP (SFTP) support, encrypting both commands and data while transferring to Web hosts. The enhancement protects passwords and sensitive information while in transit.
