Astro IIDC v3.0 update

Aupperle Services & Contracting has released Astro IIDC v3.0, a major upgrade to its Mac OS X Astronomy, Microscopy and High Speed image acquisition software. "Astro IIDC" works with a wide variety of low- and high-end FireWire 400 or FireWire 800 IIDC cameras. It has a simple intuitive interface, can record movies at up to 240 frames per second or as slow as 1 frame exposures per hour, grab frames (single, multiple stacked or multiple sums), has extensive Altivec optimization for real time processing, has 8- or 16-bit image alignment with stacking and has 16-bit or RGB48 image editing tools.

Version 3.0 supports CoreGraphics for live image display and graphic overlays, live scrolling of Camera Preview Window so that you can preview a smaller area and grab or record the entire view, supports 10 custom camera settings, offers additional AppleScript commands, improves performance, and more. Astro IIDC is $75 for new licenses and a $25 upgrade; it is compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.x or higher and QuickTime 6.4.
