Lexmark debuts new AIO, MFP
The Lexmark X340 series includes business-class PCL 6 emulation, 64MB of standard memory and a high-speed USB 2.0 port to process complex jobs quickly. It also includes fax features, such as a 33.6 Kbps modem, 10 fax speed dials, a 50-page automatic document feeder, and an optional 500- sheet drawer for $200. In addition, the new AIO series from Lexmark features legal-size flatbed scanning in both color and black and white. A professional document management software package is also included to help customers easily organize electronic data and convert scanned documents into PDF files.
"Simplifying workflow starts with bridging the paper and digital worlds efficiently," said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. "When it comes to doing that easily and affordably, the Lexmark X340 series provides customers big value in a small footprint."
New Lexmark laser MFP
Lexmark also introduced the Lexmark X642e monochrome laser multifunction product (MFP), which it says offers the fastest speed in its class, printing and copying at speeds up to 45 pages per minute. It includes legal-size, simplex scanning and fax capabilities standard as well as an adjustable 5.7-inch monochrome e-Task interface that can easily be customized to simplify complicated business processes at the touch of an icon. The new MFP also offers the ability to scan to or print PDFs and images from a USB flash storage device as well as supports IPSec, SSL, SNMPv3 and 802.1x authentication. It is available now for $1,500.
