New vehicle iPod adapters

Directed Electronics today launched four new IP-Port iPod adapters that allow users to listen to their iPod through the stock radio in their vehicles. Initially available for Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota vehicles, the device operates through the stock radio's CD Changer port using the CD Changer controls for song up/down, playlist/disc select, shuffle, and other functions. The Auto Charge feature charges the iPod battery, and stops automatically after one hour of non-use. IP-Port adapters for VW will be available in the near future, according to Directed Electronics, and the Directed IP-Port adapters start at $160.

Okay, I checked out the site. It doesn't work so well. I can't even FIND any other mention of this product. Sounds kinda iffy to me…

Feel sad...

Man I feel really bad... I was really eager to have one of those... But unluckily my car is a Volkswagen GTI... Though I love this car!! Performance, great mileage and a mature appearance. I wanted a sporty compact car so that I could enjoy driving without paying an arm and leg for gasoline. Being forty-two I feel that a Evo/WRX/Civic Si/SRT-4 are not age appropriate. Kind of like a middle-aged man wearing Vans and having a ponytail or a middle-aged woman wearing her teenage daughter's clothes. You get the picture and it's not pretty. The GTI is not flashy, but I get compliments all the time. A lot of people have fond memories of the original. The engine is smooth and powerful with lots of low end torque. The suspension is firm, but not at all uncomfortable. I have yet to make volkswagen gti performance parts break loose in a turn and I try on an almost daily basis. The interior is very high quality with plaid seats made of a very durable feeling fabric.

The steering wheel rivals anything made by Momo. I have the satellite radio (Sirius) which I am trying to like, but I really can't find any stations that I enjoy. All in all this car is a joy to drive and I highly recommend it!
