Praevius has released SoftBooks Pro 2.0, an update to its full-featured Payroll and Business Management application for Mac OS X that includes functions for estimates, invoices, time tracking, ledger management, customer management, inventory/supply tracking, services, and category-based transactions. Version 2.0 now includes a full-featured Payroll Module to calculate Federal Income Tax, FICA, FUTA, Medicare, State Income Taxes, SUTA, SDI (where applicable), Local Taxes and Benefits. In addition, SoftBooks Pro also allows you to account for AEIC payments (Advanced Earned Income Credit). The software includes support for Daily, Weekly, BiWeekly, SemiMonthly and Monthly pay schedules, as well as support for the standard 0-10 withholding allowances. SoftBooks Pro now integrates with Mac OS X Address Book, offers interface improvements, and more. It is available for $130 and is a free upgrade for current owners.
