Sente 3.0 suports Intel Macs, Spotlight

Third Street Software today released Sente v3.0, a new version of its academic literature research and bibliography software. Now available as a Universal Binary for native execution on Intel-and PowerPC-based Macs, version 3.0 also brings Spotlight support and features a new plugin-based architecture. "Many important aspects of Sente's functionality are now handled in plugins, rather than in the main code for the application. This will make it easier for to add new features to Sente in the future," the developer said. Version 3.0 also features bibliography enhancements, allowing users to override the way in which references appear when using Sente with both Microsoft Word and Mellel (from RedleX). In addition, Sente v3.0 features new organization tools to create custom reference statuses and star ratings when organizing libraries. It runs on Mac OS X 10.4 or later and is available for $100 with a 50 percent discount offered to students.
