MicroNet debuts PlatinumNAS storage

MicroNet today announced the immediate availability of its PlatinumNAS network storage solution. PlatinumNAS features Dual gigabit Ethernet connections, up to 2.0TB (4x500GB) of high performance SATA storage, an integrated hardware-based RAID controller, and a lightweight aluminum design. PlatinumNAS incorporates four hot-swappable in class 7200RPM SATA hard drives along with a 64-bit RISC based RAID controller. The sleek, compact enclosure (6.5”W x 7 7/8“H x 8 3/4”D) weighs less than 18lbs; it features both SMB/CIFS networking protocols as well as Webdisk, allowing virtually every modern computer with a web browser to access the storage. MicroNet’s Platinum line features PlatinumNAS, PlatinumRAID, and the Platinum line of External hard disk drives., and feature portable and lightweight aluminum design that is both stylish and flexible.
