Microspot Modeler 3.6

Microspot today released Microspot Modeler 3.6, an interactive 3D modeling application that makes it simple to create and render models in real world dimensions as well as "view the results as you are working." The software can be used to produce own furniture items and accessories to add to the items already supplied with the company's Microsoft Interiors product or can be used as a standalone modeler. Version 3.6 adds two new tools and three new palettes to help create animations using camera, objects, lights, the sun, textures and colors. Animation brings designs to life and allows them to be distributed using QuickTime. The software also adds 3ds file import, dramatically increasing the possible items that can be placed into 3D scenes. In addition, the update brings dynamic tessellation, support for translucent objects, and improved Mac OS X Tiger support. It is available for $130 (£80 or €120), while upgrades are $50 (£30 or €40).
