Apple ships Logic Pro 7.2
Apple has begun shipping Logic Pro 7.2, a Universal Binary version of its professional audio software for music creation and audio production. The crossgrade, available for $50 to registered owners, features several other enhancements, including support for the Apogee Ensemble FireWire interface, compatibility with Pro Tools HD 7 DAE, and project compatibility with Garageband 3. Version 7.2 also brings Serato Pitch ‘n Time support, improved Rewire support, 32-channel support for multi-channel Audio Units instruments, enhanced support for control surfaces, playback of AAC and Apple Lossless compressed files, access to new GarageBand 3-compatible plug-ins, and new royalty-free jingles and sound effects Apple Loops. The full version, available immediately, is priced at $1000, while upgrades from v6 are $300 (available in 7-10 business days).
