NitroAV.com announced updates to its SATAStar Series product line with two new PCI-Express (PCIe) Host Adapters. The PCIe FireWire 800/1394b and FireWire 800/1394b plus USB 2.0 Combo host adapters both support one-lane (1x) with transfers up to 2.5GB per second, and are compatible with Mac OS X, MS Windows, and Linux. Both are backwards compatible with standard FireWire 400/1394a and USB 1.1 standards. The FireWire 800/1394b PCIe Host Adapter costs $125, while the FireWire 800/1394b plus USB 2.0 Combo costs $150.
