Audio apps for Mactels
Last week, M-Audio announced support for Apple's Intel Macs with several of its USB- and FireWire-compatible products soon available. M-Audio posted beta drivers at this year's NAMM for the entire FireWire-compatible family of products, including FireWire 410, FireWire 1814, and the new ProjectMix I/O, as well as Fast Track USB and Fast Track Pro. M-Audio said that it is currently working on Intel-Mac support for the rest of its USB interfaces (availability and pricing were unavailable).
M-Audio partner Ableton also announced that upcoming Live 5.2 will deliver native support for the Intel Macs, in addition to significant gains in audio performance. Live 5.2 will enter beta testing as soon as the new MacBook Pro is available and is expected to be released in February, according to the company.

I just wish they would support PPC macs with decent drivers first. The Delta series has been hamstrung by awful drivers for YEARS. And every time Apple releases a new point update to 10.4. the delta OS X 2.x.x dmg drivers get broken again. Then it takes M-Audio months to come out with a patch only to see it broken again by a new point update from Apple a few days later. Don't these two companies have engineers that ever talk to each other?

I have a FastTrack USB and It doesn't require any drivers in OS 10.3.9 on PowerPC... Why would the Intel Version require Drivers??? it's still OS X right?
