I'm no design snob, but I do know the importance of good design and I'm aware of basic design principles. The designs created by this program fall short of the "professional" level they aspire to. Basic things like legibility, effective color schemes, and meaningful shapes are not anywhere near what a professional designer would provide. Even a rookie professional designer.
"A good logo creates and maintains your identity..." Yes, and a bad logo creates and maintains your identity as well, just not in a desirable fashion.
"Logo Design Studio takes this critical design process away from the hands of outsiders..." and puts it into the hands of absolute amateurs.
"...giving users the creative tools needed to produce unmatched professional results." They're unmatched, perhaps, but hardly professional.
Sorry to be so harsh, but this program could have been much more useful... there's no reason to have such lackluster templates. Then again, for $40, you get what you pay for.

I'm a graphic designer for 16 years now, and let me tell you something, it's not the software or the knowledge you got after that college degree, I know for my own experience that a great designer born from the inside out, I think that any good artist with a great creativity can make the best logos with this type of "do it yourself software". I will never get rid of PSCS2, or ILLCS2 or even FHMX, for my logo designs, but it may be a good start using this software for someone with talent and creativity but with a limited pocket.
