OS X Tiger books
Two new books helping users understand and use Mac OS X Tiger are now available. Peachpit has released a new book by Adrian Mayo, Mac OS X Unix 101 Byte-Sized Projects ($35). The book covers basic Unix commands and concepts; how to browse the file system and work with filenames and file content, basica and advanced sell scripts, and more. O'Reilly's latest book, Running Mac OS X Tiger ($40) intructs readers how to create accounts for users and system processes, schedule tasks and monitor the system, look in-depth at HFS+ and Tiger's Journaled file system, tweak preferences by hacking plist files or using default commands, establish Open Directory and Directory Services, and more.
