IK Multimedia releases
IK Multimedia is starting off the new year with many new product releases. IK is celebrating its 10th anniversary by releasing its first hardware line, a range of controllers and audio cards for the guitar and bass market-- AmpliTube 2 and Ampeg SVX, AmpliTube StompIO, and Classik Studio Reverb. Also up for future release is the "Bundle Series" collection of music production tools, which include the Guitar and Bass Bundle, Workstation Bundle, Effects Bundle, Studio Bundle, Effects Bundle Deluxe, and Studio Bundle Deluxe. Each bundle contains between two and seven of IK Multimedia's production software applications (pricing and availability were unavailable).
In addition, IK announced that the Miroslav Refill Series will be shipping in January. The Miroslav Refills are a series of orchestral sound collections featuring symphonic samples of Miroslav Vitous in Reason 3 format. Available orchestral titles are: Miroslav String Ensembles, Miroslav Solo Strings, Miroslav Bass, Miroslav Woodwinds, Miroslav choirs, and Miroslav Percussion and Keys. Each Miroslav refill costs $200, for use with Reason 3 on Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later.
AmpliTube LE bundles
IK also said that AmpliTube LE will be bundled with PreSonus Recording Interfaces, to create the PreSonus "Pro Pack." The AmpliTube LE features three amp models, three cabinet models, and three stomp effect models. AmpliTube Live/LE currently costs $100 (pricing for AmpliTube/PreSonus bundle was unavailable.)
Yamaha will be including IK plug-ins with a selection of Yamaha musical audio products. The bundles will include products such as IK’s SampleTank SE, AmpliTube LE, and T-RackS EQ, all bundled together with Yamaha’s USB mixers and FireWire interfaces.
