AmpliTube 2.0 to ship in February

AmpliTube 2.0 due in Feb


IK Multimedia today announced that it will ship AmpliTube 2.0 in February. The sequel to IK’s award-winning guitar amp and effects plug-in, AmpliTube is a major upgrade and a completely redesigned new application, offering "everything needed to craft your own signature guitar tones with 5 separate modules, including Tuner, Stomp, Amp Head, Miked Cabinet and Rack Effects on 2 series/parallel guitar rigs." Version 2.0 features 14 Preamps and EQs, seven Power Amps, 16 Cabinets, six Microphones, 21 Stomp Effects, and 11 Rack Effects make. It also includes over 80 guitar gear emulations with popular amp models (based on Fender, Vox, Marshall, THD, Supro, etc.) as well as 21 stomp effects available from accurate modeling of rare vintage effects pedals. Users can also choose between serial or parallel connections between two simultaneous guitar-rigs. AmpliTube 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and will ship in February for $400 (€330).
