PumpPod for iPod

PumpPod, a personal training program, is now available for the iPod. Also compatible with the Treo, Tungston, Zire, iPAQ and other image-ready handheld devices, PumpPod provides consumers of varying fitness levels and needs with step-by-step workout instructions and color images to ensure proper form and execution. PumpPod is a collection of over 40 workouts (i.e. total body, abs and core, yoga, Pilates, etc.) in JPEG- formatted images that can be downloaded to a photo-ready handheld device and played while you listen to music. The PumpPod Individual Trainers come in four categories-- TotallyPumped, Pumped2Go, PumpedforLife, and PumpedMama- ranging in price from $20-30 each, with packages available.

The TotallyPumped exercises target all the major muscle groups including legs, chest, back, arms, abs and more. Levels 1, 2 and 3 cost $20 each (4-6 week program for each level), or all three levels can be purchased as a $50 package.

Pumped2Go contains two workouts, each with 12 exercises that target the legs, chest, back, arms, abs and more, using only the furniture and items commonly found in hotel rooms (i.e. suitcase, water bottles, bed, etc.). Pumped2Go costs $20 for two total body workouts.

PumpedforLife is the complete body conditioning trainer from PumpPod. Combining the fundamentals found in strength training, yoga, and cardio, this training program is intended to help the user build strength, lose weight, gain endurance, improve heart health and increase flexibility. The workouts alternate from week to week so that the user’s body is constantly challenged with new workouts. PumpedforLife trainers cost $60 for a Level 1, $64 for Level 2, and $70 for Level 3. All trainers are based on a 6-day workout for 4-8 weeks.

PumpedMama trainer is designed to get mothers back into the gym and help them achieve a tighter, more toned physique-- the body they had before they became moms. PumpedMama consists of three progressive levels, each containing three different workouts with 8-11 exercises each (or approximately 30 exercises per level). The trainer targets problem areas that moms want to focus on like the stomach, thighs, hips and under the arm. Mothers can start PumpedMama four weeks after their pregnancy. As with any workout program, new mothers should check with their physician before heading back to the gym. Levels 1, 2 and 3 cost $20 each for a 4-6 week program, or $50 for a combined level, 12-18 week program.
