iTunes, Apple visitors

Online traffic to digital music retailers increased 22 percent in December 2005 compared to November 2005, driving record traffic to Apple's website and was ranked 17th in the Top 50 online properties, with nearly 28 million unique visitors. Some retailers even found success piggybacking on the iPod/iTunes phenomenon. Soundsgood.com, an audiobook retailer, most likely drew its record 1 million visitors (up 144 percent) due to the popoularity of portable digital media players and holiday book-gifting, according to comScore.
