Yeah, Apple wants nothing of the corporate market. Why should they? There's nothing there. Barely any company uses computers anymore, and those that do buy so few that the costs aren't worth the added revenue.
And we all know the XServe, XRaid, XSan, etc, were all aimed directly at the consumer market, storage options for those people who use Apple's lossless codec to store all their music.

"Apple continues to fail to capture the corporate-computing market" is not a criticism of Apple but a reflection of its strategy.
They "continue to fail" at it because they never WANTED it (except for their 'declining years'.)
What Apple wants is exactly what its getting. Microsoft wanted 'corporate desk space domination'. They got it and now they're stuck with it.
Apple was NEVER about 'corporate desk space' domination right from the Apple ][. They were about doing cool stuff that would get them into the world's living rooms.
