Flip4Mac releases WMV Components 2.0

, allowing Mac OS X users to play, import, and export Windows Media video and audio files within native QuickTime-based media applications such as QuickTime Player, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro. The update includes first-time, full-playback of high-definition Windows Media content within QuickTime Player on a Macintosh, expanded preset encoding profiles, and the ability to save custom encoding profiles. Telestream also announced that the WMV Player Component is now free, and that WMV Import adds the ability to import Windows Media for editing and conversion to other formats for $30 alongside Flip4Mac WMV Studio bundles--which range in price from $50 to $180.
