Most of my Widgets use the internet for data collection. It would seem trival if a iPod could use Widgets ...unless there is a new WiFi model coming out.. which would also add a external keyboard / input unit to the iPod. Widget could then be the new "Palm" apps and add remote control with Airport networking .. and don't forget you could wifi right to Airport Express to connect to your stereo. It's not impossible .. depending on how usable is the iPod OS. Does anyone know anything about the iPod OS? is there a actual # GHZ speed as well?
I still think that the FrontRow and Widget interfaces might be all we find on a future DVR. Why does a DVR need a CoreDuo chip and OSX? Recording digital TV doesn't need a big processor, and the mpeg/h264 decoding on the new iMac is done by the video card...
