Broadcast Unifying Gears (BUG.tv) has launched its advanced A/V Ingest server, dubbed , which it claims is the world's first Mac-based simultaneous multi-channel and multi-format Ingest server. Up to four SDI video channels can be ingested simultaneously, in SD and HD formats or a combination of the two. CLASS-R supports many control protocols such as VDCP and VTR. Files can be saved in numerous formats including DV and native Final Cut Pro projects, while Metadata information can be entered on-the-fly during the ingestion process (pricing and compatibility information was unavailable).
