updated 10:00 am EST, Fri January 6, 2006

Speck Electronics Division

, expanding its innovative and unique line of iPod accessories to include electronics for iPod. Speck's new line of "made for your car" iPod electronics includes leather-clad iPod chargers, docks, and FM transmitters (pictured at right) that are designed to compliment the look a car's interior. "Most folks who are passionate about their iPods are also passionate about their cars," said Tim Hickman, General Manager of Speck Products. "Our new line of iPod electronics really integrates the iPod into your car. The leather and chrome details look great against your dashboard and leather seats. The typical white plastic FM transmitter just doesn't make sense with your leather interior."

The company debuted MobileCharge and MobileTune to power and charge the iPod from a car's cigarette adapter as well as MobileTune, which features a built-in FM Transmitter to play an iPod through a car stereo system. Mobile3in1 is a docking station that provides both charging power and FM Transmitter capabilities. The products are wrapped in fine-quality leather with chrome accents and bright blue LED's.

The devices support the iPod video (both models), iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod photo, and fourth-generation iPod with click-wheel.

MobileCharge, which is due on January 16th, is priced at $40, while MobileTune is priced at $60 and is due in February (Mobile3in1 pricing and release date were not available at press time).

Also coming soon from Speck Products Electronics are the 'CableGuys' cables for your iPod. CableGuys feature unique, "happy plugs with faces that make connecting fun!" A/V, Home Stereo (RCA) and other cable sets will be available in February.
