Wearable iPod headset

eMagin--a company that manufactures video display products for military and industrial purposes--has developed a that plugs into Apple's video iPod and displays video in front of one eye. The EyeBud 800, which is expected to reach the masses in the first half of 2006, will be priced at or around $600, and will provide a viewing experience similar to watching a 105-inch display from a 12-foot distance. The EyeBud system uses a separate control module--roughly the size of the iPod--that includes a rechargeable battery pack, according to a report from the Seattle Post.
