Free TV video on iTunes

Apple is offering a on iTunes earlier this month. It is not known if Apple will continue to offer free videos on via iTunes as a marketing promotion to keep customers coming back to its store--driving both traffic and sales. The new Battlestar season premieres on January 6, 2006 on Fridays at 10 pm ET. [updated]

Not an episode

It seems to be a Sci Fi channel "inside look" that is free, not an actual episode of BSG.

The new Battlestar Galactica is one of the best Sci-fi series ever. You really must watch it from the beginning to get the build up and amazing character development. The drama and the acting are second to none, even in comparison to non sci-fi shows.

Rocks, not quite. Its good, but not great. (Sorry, but the whole "A cylon is implanted in the brain of the doc" (not to mention having no idea what the doc is trying to do or why) is completely unbelievable, as well as just a lame plot device, even for Sci-fi. Hey, at least they got flying in space correct (well, except for the easy to overuse "light speed" that everyone uses so it doesn't take 100 years to get to another system).

Oh, and how can you call it great when there's not any half-naked alien women on every planet, seducing (or being seduced by) the captain?

I would NOT mind having that Cylon embedded in my brain IF she can take solid form for me!

However, the issue of free content is interesting. I have made it a habit to grab each of the free d/ls for this past year... mostly as a way to sample something I haven't heard before - and only one since the beginning was of someone I knew... and when hers came up, the store was screwed up for the whole week so I could never get it anyway.

That being said, I see this past Tuesday, no new free download... so I was think it was over. But just today (Friday) some new posts pop up.

Absolutely I think some free video downloads are absolutely in order. Nevertheless, I find it totally outrageous "selling" music videos for 2 bucks, but commercial free TV shows for 2 bucks is at least somewhat reasonable; but NOT at all a bargain as 320 pixel width video when viewed doubled is pretty soft...

Abso-frakking-lutly. I'm so hooked on this show. Its definitely one of the best shows on TV right now. The stories are great, the acting is great, the production-value is great, and of course the twists are sweet. 14 days!!!!

You haven't been really watching the show. At this point we're not sure what Balter is seeing. He may just be crazy (schizophrenic) and imagining there's a cylon implanted in his brain. I don't believe he has a plan either. He's not like the old Balter who was just an out right Judas. Personally I think he'll end up being the 12th cylon.

There is no light-speed travel in this BSG. They fold space and jump from point to point. This at least has some basis in physics unlike greater than light space travel or warp speed. (This is from a diehard Star Trek TNG fan).

warp

Isn't warping just compressing (folding) space in front of you?
