MacKiev ships The Print Shop 2.0

The Print Shop 2.0


MacKiev today announced it is now shipping , its powerful layout tool for Mac OS X that introduces several new easy-to-use layout tools such as rulers, grids and guidelines, along with more than a hundred other new and improved features. The software also allows users to create CD labels and cases with track names and times imported from iTunes playlists as well as print directly onto printable CDs with many EPSON Direct-CD printers. The Print Shop 2.0 can Import photos from iPhoto to create personalized holiday greeting cards and can also merge-print address labels using the data in Mac OS X's Address Book and print poster-size calendars from iCal.

The application includes high quality photos and graphics and easy-to-use professionally-designed templates for greeting cards, envelopes posters, banners, business cards, pamphlets, etc.

Other new features include a layout palette that provides access to a full set of alignment tools, more than twice as many professional quality photos and fine art graphics, drag & drop integration with iPhoto, "Live" Transparency and Tint settings, new project types such as DVD Cases and Multipage Booklets, and matching templates from Apple's iDVD software. The company also said the new version offers support for more CD label brands (Avery, Memorex, NEATO, and Stomper), "Nudge" precision print alignment functions, and full support for two-sided printing for duplex-capable printers.

For Mac OS X Tiger users, the software also features new photo effects, new special edges and transparent effects as well as well as Spotlight importer for The Print Shop files.

The Print Shop for Mac 2.0 is a two CD set (includes a bonus Art CD) with over 9500+ professionally designed project templates, 19,500+ premium images (photos and graphics), and 240+ fonts (more than 100 new fonts). It requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later and is available now for $60.
