Chronos SOHO Organizer
is the next-generation version of the Personal Organizer and Group Organizer from Chronos. Designed for both individual and workgroup use, the suite of four tightly integrated applications--all rewritten in Cocoa to take advantage of Mac OS X Tiger. SOHO Contacts allows users to manage and share contacts as well as attach unlimited call logs, follow-up appointments, tasks, notes and documents to each contact. Universal synchronization lets users transfer contacts, calendars and notes to their Palm handheld, iPod, cell phone, etc. SOHO Calendars offer integration with Apple's iCal and instant synchronization among workgroups.
The included SOHO Notes application can capture, organize, and share personal and workgroup information, while SOHO Print Essentials, featuring mail merge functions, allows users to produce professional-looking documents, including labels, envelopes, letterhead, fax covers, invoices, address books, etc.
The company said that SOHO Organizer is the official successor to Personal Organizer and Group Organizer and represents a 100% Cocoa rewrite of the former products.
"This means SOHO Organizer presents a first-class Mac OS X experience complete with all the features Mac OS X users expect: Aqua interface, Unicode compliance, built-in spell checking, Service support, etc. Finally, the true benefit of a complete Cocoa rewrite is that SOHO Organizer is built for the future and can easily accommodate future technologies (think Intel-based Macs)."
SOHO Organizer supports four different types of synchronization, including multiple computer sync, offline sync to allow mobile users to update changes once they rejoin the network, handheld sync with a variety of handhelds, and realtime sync with Apple applications such as iCal and AddressBook.
A 30-day trial of the application is available now. The full version of the application is available for $100, while upgrades from Personal & Group Organizer are $50. Each of the individual component applications are available separately for between $50 and $70.
