DLO files patent lawsuit against Belkin

DLO sues Belkin
iPod accessory maker . Netalogs says it is seeking injunctive relief to prevent Belkin from selling devices violating the patent and monetary damages as well as "enhanced damages for willfulness." The lawsuit is currently in the early stages of discovery.
"Netalog works hard every day to bring original new products to our customers and we take pride in our innovative creations. We are equally committed to
vigorously defending our intellectual property against any infringement
and will do so whenever necessary," stated Jeff Grady, President of Netalog.
This is Netalog's (aka DLO) second federal lawsuit instituted in the Middle District of North Carolina by Netalog to protect its 085 Patent. In September 2004, it filed a lawsuit against Griffin for infringement of the 085 Patent as "a result of Griffin's importing, using, offering for sale and selling of its product known as the RoadTrip." In that lawsuit, the company was also seekinginjunctive relief, monetary damages and enhanced damages for willfulness. Discovery for the earlier lawsuit has been completed in the lawsuit, and trial is currently scheduled for 2006, according to the compay.
