ezTrip FM TransCharger
ezGear is now shipping the for Apple's iPod. The ezTrip, dubbed a "TransCharger" by the compay, is a combination FM Transmitter and car charger that offers an LCD display with access to all FM frequencies between 97.7 and 107.9. The small, compact device includes a coiled cable to keep wires neat, and charges the iPod during use. The ezTrip draws its power from the car DC socket, which the company says provides a stronger signal than other FM transmitters powered from the iPod--resulting in a clearer signal and reduced interference from local radio stations.
According to Charlie Bernstein, President of ezGear “We didn’t want to develop 'just' another FM transmitter. We wanted to make it better. We believe that we have developed an improved iPod car solution with our TransCharger and are proud to put the ezGear name on it."
The ezTrip FM TransCharger works with all iPods that contain the Apple dock connector (flat connector on the bottom of most iPods). This includes the iPod nano, the new Video iPod, iPod photo, "Clickwheel" iPods (4th generation), iPod minis, and four-button iPods (3rd generation). The ezTrip does not support the iPod shuffle. The ezTrip FM TransCharger is available now for $50.
