ConceptDraw V v5.5

Computer Systems Odessa today released an upgrade to , its professional business and technical diagramming package for Windows and Macintosh. Version 5.5 includes new export to XML for MS Visio, support for alpha-channel, and the ability to choose a type - color in object’s custom properties as well as print current ConceptDraw document page. The update also features enlarged units of measurement, an improved ConceptDrawBasic editor, expanded Task-specific libraries of shapes, and better performance, including increased speed of data processing and improved text operations. The Standard version is available for $150 (upgrades $80), while the Professional version. designed specifically for IT, technical users and developers, is $300 (upgrades $100).

“The major focus of version 5.5.0 is to facilitate document exchange with MS Visio users by adding Export to XML for MS Visio. We believe this function makes the sharing of document between ConceptDraw V and MS Visio easier”, - says product manager of ConceptDraw V Sergey Savenko.

The program adds support for alpha-channels, which allows usrs to apply transparency to any object, line, filling, shadows or texts. Each object can now have its own color palette as well. Version 5.5 offers extended operations with Smart Connectors and more units of measurement--with an option to use pixels as document dimensions and to use feet/inches as object’s dimensions. In addition, the program features an extended collection of wizards, templates and task-specific libraries of shapes.

ConceptDraw V is used for drawing flow charts, data flow diagrams, org charts, work flows, network diagrams, UML, ERD, GUI prototypes, database diagrams, site maps, floor plans and more. The program can be used by IT and business professionals and consultants, managers, system administrators, web designers, software and database developers, scientists, educators and students.

Both academic and non-profit organizations discounts are available as well as a free trial.
