Griffin Technology today announced that its (pictured at right) is now available in black to match the new black iPods and debuted a new wall charger for all iPods. Compatible with all full-sized dock connector iPods (and made especially with the newest fifth-generation black iPod with video in mind), the new iTrip offers superior performance and innovative features, including a large, easy to read backlit LCD screen makes setting its digital tuner easy and intuitive. It also features a convenient switch on the side of the iTrip to select a broadcast frequency. The device remembers its settings for convenience to help reduce the number of times a user has to adjust the frequency. The compact, self-contained design is compatible with the iPod photo, iPod U2, and third-, fourth-, and fifth-generation iPods. It is available for $50.
In addition, Griffin Technology today announced PowerBlock, a universal charger for iPods. "Use PowerBlock to power and charge almost any iPod from a wall outlet. The iPod shuffle plugs directly into PowerBlock, while all other supported iPods use the included cable ($20 value). The PowerBlock accepts 120V or 240V service for use with international plug adapters. "And PowerBlock's compact size makes it ideal for business, home, or mobile use -- whenever an iPod can't be conveniently connected to a computer for charging." The PowerBlock is compatible with the Nano, Shuffle, Mini, Photo, and fourth-generation iPods. It is available for $20.
