GoDaddy, Safari issues
Domain registrar and hosting service to discuss the issue in-depth. The problem seems to have started around November 26th, and while initially a blank page with no source code and no errors is displayed, some users note that loading the address in Firefox or Internet Explorer first will allow Safari and Opera to view the page contents after refreshing. GoDaddy support is apparently directing hosting customers to contact both Opera and Apple support to report the "bug," and claims no responsibility. Users say Apple support has thus far been unresponsive, while Opera support is available on a pay basis which deters many users from seeking aid. [updated 12/8]
Update: GoDaddy said that not all Safari are having difficulty accessing forwarded domain names and disclaimed responsibility for the problems; the company, however, indicated that the problem would be fixed, but gave no specific time frame: "we have determined the issue is NOT related to a glitch in our service, but rather with a product supplied by one of our vendors. We are actively working on resolving this issue and expect it to be fixed shortly."

We if it is a bug...

Not webkit

shawnce - it's a not a webkit bug. The problem is malformed headers that GoDaddy's redirect servers are sending that cause Safari and Opera to just display a blank page. I'm not sure I'd call it a bug when a program doesn't know what to do with non-standard, malformed data.

Humm maybe GoDaddy...

Humm maybe GoDaddy changed something to get things to work again since all of the example URLs provided by posters in the Apple forums open just fine in Safari (10.4.3) without doing anything special (didn't even try any other browsers).

There are lots of other services that do not shirk their responsibilities when it comes to support requests from Mac users. Don't whine, walk.

Wasn't trying to say it was a bug in Safari... just that if it was to consider going the webkit project route to get more eyes on the subject.
Anyway after look more at things I agree it is (or possibly now was) malformed redirects.

But it still doesn't work for me.
There is intermittant access - if you've viewed any forwarded page within the last couple of hours, it'll still work in Safari.
The Apple thread linked above has some new technical information concerning the exact nature of the malformed headers.

Gee, I'm shocked! Apple support unresponsive! Who'd ever thought they'd hear that phrase.
Come'on, its apple. If GoDaddy ain't going to fix it, it ain't getting fixed quickly.
Of course, some might argue that this is what you get with using a hosting company who's name sounds more like what a call-girl might be cooing at you then a company who wants to earn your money.
