today announced the worldwide availability of the IRISCard mini, its light-weight, portable solution that transforms business cards into a contact database. The business card reader recognizes business cards from 54 countries, while the device harbors an A8 scanner with a small footprint--allowing business card scanning in black and white, as well as grayscale. Contacts can be exported to your any contact manager including Microsoft Outlook, Apple's Address Book, Pocket-PC, iPod, and more. The IRISCard mini is available for 150, and is compatible with both Microsoft Windows systems as well as Macintosh (system requirements were unavailable).

Cardiris--the IRISCard mini software--analyzes information contained in business cards with one click, and sends it to the appropriate data fields to create an electronic address book (Windows only). IRISCard can be installed in English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Russian. The IRISCard mini Asian is localized and offers an interface in Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
