iPod porn at home, work
Apple's video iPod may herald a new generation of portable porn. Fears that video iPod owners might take the devices with them to work in an effort to , and that children may quickly download pornography onto the device before slipping out of the house to watch it elsewhere has created something of a stir. One columnist said that iPod porn must be dealt with in the home and at the office, citing the difficulty parents already have monitoring the internet viewing habits of their children, according to a report from ZDNet. Eric J. Sinrod, a partner in the San Francisco office of Duane Morris, said "as video makes its way onto iPods, parents can and should let their children know that they periodically will check their kids' iPods to see what video content has been downloaded. They also should check on filters that are being developed to prevent adult content from being downloaded onto iPods."
When addressing iPod porn in the workplace, Sinrod said "employers obviously should ban employees from viewing such content in the workplace. If that does not get the job done, employers should consider banning iPod video use in the workplace."

portable p***?

this is the most hilarious thing that i've read all day. If people are going to watch p***, it's not going to be in the bathroom stalls of the office on their iPod. And if they are, they should seek their mental health physician as soon as possible.

This is the 3rd time I've heard of purported fears of a portable p*** invasion with the advent of the video iPod. First, it was the Mercury News. Then, it was the morning news report on CNN. Now, this article.
As Runco said, it doesn't make any sense. Secondly, why is it that the video iPod going to spur such an explosion in p***? The PSP came out months earlier with a more suitable screen size for p*** viewing.
It's almost as if the news reports want to say that the spread of p*** will lead to the decline of U.S. and Western civilization in general. lol.
I don't know about everybody else, but I rarely find time at work and after work to even use my PSP. I'm lucky if I have time to sit down and play with a regular ps2 unit regularly (I can but this usually means I'm foregoing some other responsibility). So I find it hard to believe that people are going to religiously spend alot of time transferring p*** for the sole purpose of wacking off remotely somewhere in a public restroom.
Must be a slow down at the news office.

Non-iPod Portable p***

There are several previously-existing p*** media that are just as portable as iPods. People have probably read p*** novels and looked at p*** magazines at work for a really long time, and probably there have been kids who have done the same thing at school. Just guessing.

i'm pretty sure that the only people who think of bringing p*** to work on their ipods are the people who are interviewed for and write these articles. if these people obsess over p*** that much, they must be thinking of s** constantly.

This and all the articles like this are a joke! First of all as consenting adults if you want to put p*** on your iPod its YOUR iPod there should not be any content filters or security to limit downloading any type of video content on your iPod. Secondly WATCH YOUR FREEKING KIDS! If you are SO worried aboud kids downloading p*** on their iPods watch them jsut like you should be watching their computer usage. This isn't that difficult of a concept it's called being a responsible parent.

Yuk it up, naysayers. Adult Video News's website (avnonline.com) has updates every week about adult content providers making iPod-compatible p***. For my part I'd be much more worried about the PSP-compatible p*** that's on its way; I'd say more kids are getting PSPs this year than ViPods based on price alone.
