Doom 3 Last Man Standing
Platinum Arts today released , a single- and multi-player mod for Doom 3. Boasting major improvements over the first version, the new mod offers ROE Coop (the Doom 3 expansion pack) and Kaiser's (one of most talented mappers in the Doom 3 community) single-player maps Tlabs Complex, Refueling Station, and Sigma Quadrant which have been tweaked for co-op play. By popular demand, ragdolls can now be turned on using the 'cvar lms_useragdolls' command, and monsters now drop their weapons. Doom 3 Last Man Standing 2.0 is available for free.
Additional features include completely rewritten AI netcode; the Plasmathrower has a new sound and stream, and ignites monsters; updates to Radio Tower, including more intense gameplay and cinema screens; KF_Loading_dock has been tweaked to be more playable, especially in hardcore mode; over six new monsters including the super maggot, spectre, and spectral nimp; music volume now fades to new value properly when using music volume slider; progression maps no longer have a time limit; maximum number of players has been increased to 16; seven of the 12 ROE maps are coop-ready; players can vote to use "Hardcore" on LMS maps; hitboxes have been removed, so blood is back; and death sounds as well as muzzle flashes are working.
