InterServices New Media today announced , its media cataloging and asset management application designed for Mac OS X. Mediaboard ONE manages keeps track of images and movies, cataloging and organizing them while providing fast, easy access on demand. The application creates intelligent thumbnails for every image or movie cataloged, while comments, keywords, and license/model/property release information are supported with an AutoFill feature. Version 1.3 adds over 80 enhancements, as well as several bugfixes. Mediaboard ONE 1.3 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is available in English for $40 per client, or $600 for the five-user workgroup server. The upgrade is free for existing users.

The application includes four different thumbnail layouts and the thumbnails can be resized in realtime; its sorting/filtering the displayed media set is now also available in realtime. A new Cumulus importer loads Cumulus catalogs with all the annotations, keywords and categories previously created.

Users can automatically extract useful data, such as EXIF and IPTC information, from media files and add it to the catalog. Mediaboard ONE also includes an enhanced image and movie viewer that works in full-screen mode and supports different display modes (16:9, 4:3, and full screen-zoom). The program also captures and catalogs images from digital cameras and memory cards, and includes features such as auto-backup and auto-renaming of images.

For post-processing images, a Mac OS X Core Image based adjustment utility resizes, colorizes, adjusts, scales and enhances images. Mediaboard ONE is workgroup-ready, the media database is either stored locally or on a network server, to be accessed by an unlimited number of users. The database core of Mediaboard ONE is SQL based and supports Apache Derby as local database and MySQL and PostgreSQL as network server.

Mediaboard ONE now supports Adobe Photoshop files with multiple layers, double-click behavior is customizable, major speed improvements for imports are included (especially with RAW files), thumbnails are manually rotate-able, support for additional RAW formats (ORC) is included, and more.
