Valentina 2 offers new desktop, developer options

Valentina 2 released


Paradigma Software today released for Revolution ADK and the Valentina Developer Network for Revolution products. Valentina 2 is a fast, robust database with multi-platform support for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows networks. New features include abstraction links, foreign keys, fast Valentina ObjectPtrs, and Valentina binary links for one to one, one-to-many and many-to-many links. Valentina 2 for Revolution (single OS) requires Mac OS X blah, is available for $200, and comes with a free copy of Valentina Studio Administrator. Valentina Developer Network pricing begins at $500 and includes a license to deploy Valentina 2 Embedded Server royalty free.

Valentina 2 offers new speed improvements with a caching system, a new internal file system, and RAM-based options. Other features include Unicode support, XML importing and exporting capability for both data and schemas, SQL'92 compliance as well as native API calls in all products, simultaneous data exchange, transparent file formats, and over 50 example projects to work with. Additional features offered by Valentina 2 are new reference integrity, record level locks and 448-bit encryption. All Valentina 2 products (including Office Server and versions for Director and REALbasic) have been updated to version 2.0.5 to incorporate numerous performance and SQL improvements, including addition of SQL Load/Dump and SQL commands Get Property and Set Property.
