TIBCO offers SOA

today announced released its infrastructure software, including integrated enterprise backbone, business integration and business optimization software, for Apple’s Mac OS X Server 10.4 “Tiger.” The software allows customers in the financial services, media, government and education sectors to protect their IT investments with increased flexibility and choice for deploying a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). “Extending our infrastructure software to support Tiger Server further cements our position as the leading platform-agnostic vendor supporting SOA and is a great example of how we continue to provide flexibility and choice."

“The innovation and value of Xserve G5, Tiger Server, Xserve RAID and Xsan is driving significant momentum in server and storage markets,” said Ron Okamoto, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “We’re thrilled that TIBCO is taking advantage of the innovation in Mac OS X Server to give IT departments an unbeatable combination of price, performance, ease of use and interoperability in heterogeneous environments.”

TIBCO says it offers the broadest suite of integrated infrastructure software for SOA deployments on Mac OS X Tiger Server. TIBCO’s Enterprise Backbone software provides messaging, monitoring and management products. TIBCO’s Business Integration software includes enterprise service bus, service orchestration, application integration, B2B integration and data integration functionality. TIBCO’s Business Optimization software includes portal, business activity monitoring, and complex event processing products. TIBCO’s infrastructure software also accommodates customers using Tiger Server and Xserve G5 for specialized requirements, such as grid and high-performance computing.
