Smasher font tool

Insider Software on Tuesday announced the launch of , a new multipurpose font utility that lets creative professionals "extract optimal performance from their design applications." Smasher streamlines font suitcases and cleans font caches to eliminate a variety of common font problems and improve the performance of Mac OS X systems. Smasher enables users to view all fonts in a suitcase—including legacy Mac OS 9 suitcases that may contain numerous fonts from a multitude of families and foundries—and "smash" the suitcases into their smallest components. Smasher automatically creates new, more efficient and manageable suitcases. The suggested retail price is $50, and for a limited time, owners of other Insider Software products can purchase Smasher at a special introductory price of $25.
