Iogear offers Bluetooth Stereo Kit

Bluetooth Stereo Kit


IOGEAR today introduced its , which includes Bluetooth Stereo Headphones and a Bluetooth Audio Adapter for devices such as Apple's iPod. The headset also enables users to place and receive calls from any Bluetooth equipped cell phone. The Bluetooth Stereo Headphones include integrated buttons on the earpiece that control volume and enable start, stop, pause and music track selection modes. The headphones have a built-in rechargeable battery that delivers six hours of continuous use. The company says that users can listen to music, or talk on the phone up to 66 feet away from the selected device. The headphones are designed to be worn behind the neck and fold up to fit in a bag or briefcase. It is available now for $180.

The headphones also come equipped with a detachable microphone for cell phones. If a user is listening to music when a call comes in, the music will be paused in order for the call to be received. Along with the headphones, the Bluetooth Stereo Kit includes a Bluetooth Audio Adapter, which enables Bluetooth functionality for any audio source. The product can be used with MP3 players, home stereos, TV sets and computers. The adapter plugs into any audio jack, providing instant wireless access to audio devices without the need for any extra software.

"With the continued interest in portable music players and the recent launch of the Motorola iPod ROKR phone, people are looking for ways to improve the way they listen to music and use cell phones. Many Bluetooth audio solutions on the market today are either too expensive or the quality is poor," said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR Inc. "With our high-quality Bluetooth Stereo Kit, users can now listen to music wirelessly, make cell phone calls or do both, at an affordable price."

The Bluetooth Stereo Kit, available immediatel, is priced at $180. Users can cal also purchase the headphones, priced at $100 and audio adapter for $100. The stand-alone Bluetooth Headphones are compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled devices with A2DP and AVRCP support. The products come with IOGEAR's one-year warranty.
