Mossberg on Nano

In his latest column, Walter S. Mossberg shares his initial impressions of the iPod nano. "The nano has the , which features iTunes. Baig says the device works well, but he expresses some disappointment with the relatively low capacity of the phone. He also points out that users can't download music "over the air" directly to the phone, as people do when buying games or ring tones. Baig also criticized the USB-only connection, which he said was noticeably slower than FireWire.

    Pardon the Colorful Lingo

    Dear Edward C. Baig,

These are phones for playing your tunes, not a f#$%ing iPod replacement and such. I think cell phone's screen size is far to small to run the iTunes app... even if trimmed, the cost would be f%$#@ing squirrel nut overkill if they did. Plus FireWire on a cell phone,... why? USB is the standard for PC and Mac and is cheaper, yes... C H E A P E R.

Nuff said.... I do like the phones and the Nano is again... f$%#@ing super sexxy and sleek. Yet another example of Apple Design.

I know it's just one instance, but I remember him giving the Mighty Mouse a thumbs-down. Does anyone know if he reviews non-Apple products?
