Special Event video

Apple has posted a QuickTime at San Francisco's Moscone West. Apple CEO Steve Jobs delivered a one hour keynote address and unveiled several new products. During the presentation, Jobs chatted with Madonna via an iChat video conference. Madonna's music is now available via iTunes, including her new album. After showing off the all-new iTunes 5, Jobs unveiled Motorola's ROKR iTunes-based mobile phone. Ron Garriques, President of Mobile Devices at Motorola gave a brief speech, followed by Ralph de la Vega, COO of Cingular. During his presentation, de la Vega previewed several television ads for the ROKR, available exclusively on Cingular. Lastly, Jobs introduced the iPod nano, comparing it to several competitors' products. The special event ended with a two-song live presentation by Kanye West. West performed "All Falls Down" from his debut CD, and "Gold Digger" from his new album.

    finally...

it's about time madonna smartened up and put her stuff on itunes. for such a schrewd businessperson as she has been throughout her career i thought not being on itunes was the biggest mistake of her career. all she was doing by resisting itunes was makin herself obsolete, especially with the genertion Y crowd. now all she has to do is get rid of that awful british accent she's magically aquired.

    A New Kanye West Fan

I'm a 32-year-old white dude, and I am a new fan of Kanye West. Partially because he appeared in Apple's pres conference, and partly because of his sincerity in showing his feelings about the suffering of those in New Orleans (on a telethon last week).

But mainly because the guy speaks the truth: "President Bush doesn't care about black people."

You can add to that: poor people, the environment, and the truth.

    why WOULD Bush care

about black people? They don't vote for him, they don't write him $100,000 checks.

Bush also doesn't care about the mothers whose sons died for his War Against The Guy Who Tried To Kill My Daddy.

He sure does like to play guitar while New Orleans drowns, though.
