MediaDex 1.0 released

MediaDex today released , its new digital asset management software to catalog, organize, find and share digital media files. Based on the Canto Cumulus Digital Asset Management technology, MediaDex 1.0 is a cataloging solution for creative individual professionals and home users. It offers benefits including powerful search capabilities and a variety of conversion and presentation features. Supporting all standard multimedia including image, layout, video, audio and text files, MediaDex helps the users to keep track of digital files and to efficiently retrieve and utilize them when needed. It is available in both Standard ($50) and Professional ($80) versions.

"The main advantages of the MediaDex products lies in being able to capture the file information (metadata) associated with digital files, and the ability to organize the cataloged assets into categories and collections. To find an archived media asset file, MediaDex offers both quick search options and refined search capabilities using keywords, the metadata and Boolean operators. MediaDex makes it easy to share images, by using Slideshow features or as Web albums on static HTML pages."

MediaDex 1.0 is available in two versions: MediaDex Standard and MediaDex Professional. While the basic functionality of both programs is the same, MediaDex Professional includes support for Microsoft Office documents and digital camera proprietary RAW formats.

MediaDex 1.0 Standard and Professional are immediately available in English, German, French and Japanese. Fully functional demos of both versions, limited to a maximum of 250 files and two catalogs, can be downloaded from: the company's website.
