160GB laptop drive

[site not updated] today announced a 2.5" 160GB laptop hard drive. The 4200 RPM drive, which ships at the end of the year, offers the most capacity for a 2.5" laptop drive. The SATA drives also boast low power consumption, high shock tolerance, and quiet operation. It also features a hardware accelerator that maximizes Native Command Queuing (NCQ) performance, an important feature that enables the hard disk drive controller to intelligently and simultaneously queue and reorder up to 32 instructions, resulting in a significant improvement in overall hard disk drive performance. Fujitsu cites a growing trend towards laptops increasing demand for high-capacity 2.5" drives.
