canon remove cassette error
You will find THOUSANDS of users who have had an identical critical mechanical failure with a range of Canon cameras.
Personally I have lost 2 Canon DV cams to the remove cassette error. Both failures destroyed valuable footage.
The first failed after 90 minutes of recording. It was replaced under warranty. The replacement failed after 20 minutes of recording. Canon are now asking me to pay UKPounds 146 (that's around USD 280) for the repair since it failed more than 3 months after they sent it to me.
I have also lost several Canon DV cams to 'remove cassette' at my place of work.
Canon wil lnot take responsibility for this fundamental design problem.
