512MB across the line. Is Apple the last computer maker to make this standard. Now the Mac mini is a capable machine out of the box.

... with 512mb, obviously.

Same crappy video, same 4200rpm crap internal drive, nothing really to see here, especially to those who've already yanked their 256mb chip and swapped it for a $100 gig...

The new iBooks look pretty cool though. The 14" looks like a great deal, though PC laptops pwnish Macs on screen DPI...

I'd have much rather seen a new GPU. I already upgraded my Mini to 1GB.

It is nice to see Apple recognizing that 256MB is useless on a modern OS, but this isn't the only upgrade the Mini needs.

Oh well, I wasn't planning on a new purchase until the IntelMac.

Who would use a Mac OS X machine with 256mb or 512mb? I always upgrade all my machines with at least an extra 1gb RAM. If Apple are offering the 512mb model for the same price that the 256mb model sold for, then its nice but you still need more memory.

Now you can just waste the 512MB chip when you pull it to put a 1GB chip in there.

No new video card? Same hard drives?

Uncool.

Mini really should have been designed to use a desktop drive for both its 7200rpm speed and MUCH higher capacities.
