Citing further evidence of Monday. "While not surprising given last week's strong results, Apple continues to gain market share," Piper Jaffray said. Apple's share of PC shipments climbed to 4.5%, up from 3.7% a quarter earlier. According to the research firm the increase is the second-largest in the last two years. "We expect continued market-share gains through the back-half of calendar 2005, as Apple benefits from carryover from the massive installed base of iPods during the back-to-school and holiday seasons."
