The war in Iraq was about 2 things. Oil and the fact that Saddam threatened Dubya's daddy. period. The war on Al-Qaeda is going to wind up as anti-Muslim genocide if this B.S. doesn't stop. Not a threat, just an observation.

a point on it, but the US government also said that Hussein and Iraq had nothing to do with Sept 2001.
The absurdity of the Iraq endeavour notwithstanding, this marks yet another proud day for Islam. Oh, and reports indicate that the Egyptian envoy kidnapped in Iraq has been executed, too. Now we can watch the vehement condemnations from the world's islamic leaders just roll in, just like after 9/11 and madrid.
I can't wait to see how the Bush ruling junta will exploit this tragedy to further a narrow partisan political agenda, like they did with 9/11. Maybe we should finish what Bush started and throw out the Bill of Rights.
Well i'm in London and its just a surprise that its taken the terrorists 4 years to attack us.
I expected them to target us pretty soon after 9/11.
Woohoo! Let's roll into London and put a stop to all of this! And while we're at it, maybe we could send the Apple Records executives to Cuba for interrogation as they are enemies of the US (oh, well, us people who are sick of them, at least), and then we can get the Beatles stuff on iTunes and stop worrying about Apple being sold off for scrap.
Oh, and iRaq was all about WMD. Nothing else. Just because we can't find them (hey, what about that chemical factory on wheels they found!) doesn't mean they weren't there. And iRaq is a much safer place now then it was before all those iRaqi's were killed in fighting and the after-fighting fighting.
Not even sure what everyone's complaining about. That war ended over two years ago. Don't you people watch the news.
but... but... I thought Iraq was flypaper for the terrorists! I thought if we just killed enough of them, we'd win like we did in Vietnam!
We are at war with Eurasia. We have always been at war with Eurasia.
what riverfreak said. If I were Muslim I'd be profoundly angry and embarrassed that people claiming to act in the name of my religion were pulling off terrorist acts like this. Muslims need to address this.
By the way, you know what country creates and funds terrorists? Saudi Arabia. The corrupt royal family stays in power thanks to a deal with the devil made with the Wahhabis, who preach a particularly severe form of Islam which advocates jihad against Westerners and teaches that all Jews are pigs who should be slaughtered. The Wahhabis control Saudi society including the "education" system which would be analogous to allowing radical Christian fundamentalist Biblical literalists to teach all school subjects using the Bible as their sole text if implemented in the USA.
Oh and lots of Saudi money is funneled to al Qaeda and related terrorist organizations, and of course 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia.
So, Mr. Bush, when do we invade Saudi Arabia?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

War on terror
So can someone explain to me again how the war in Iraq was supposed to make the world safer against terrorists when the Downing Street memos indicate that Saddam Hussein and Iraq had nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda back in Sept 2001?
