MOTU releases Digital Performer 4.6 update

MOTU has released Digital Performer 4.6, a free update to its audio workstation software with MIDI sequencing. Version 4.6 offers pitch automation features for easily correcting audio pitch, transposing individual notes, and performing wholesale key and mode transposition of entire audio tracks. The new V-Rack feature lets users load plug-ins and virtual instruments once and then access them from all sequences in their project--to conserve CPU power and enable management of a single plugin with the same settings. DP 4.6 also features a new Pattern Gate plug-in; supports the AAF file interchange standard for Pro Tools compatibility; offers single-step QuickTime movie export; includes support for multiple Audio Unit outputs; features new custom click sounds; and has many film/video scoring enhancements. It is a free update to version 4.5 and runs on Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4.

When they demoed these new features at NAMM, it seemed like a demo of DP 5. I can't believe this is a FREE update, this is awesome!
