QuickSilver, Infiiniband offer Mac OS X support

SilverStorm, formerly InfiniCon, today announced the addition of Mac OS X support to its suite of for "Best Mac OS X Server" solution at last week's Apple WWDC.

"SilverStorm's products provide the most robust, highest performing InfiniBand networking solutions on the market, which is why Small Tree partnered with them to bring the benefits of InfiniBand to the Mac platform," stated Corky Seeber, president of Small Tree Communications. "By introducing the ability to install a one wire data center, SilverStorm has effectively lowered the total cost of cluster network ownership, eliminating the cost and complexity of managing separate networks for computing and storage in addition to achieving higher server utilization."
