has made a number of announcements following the conclusion of Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference. HealthWare said its Smart Scheduling application for iDental will ship in early July. Smart Scheduling is designed to adhere to vCalendar open standards, which makes appointments or personal schedules truly portable. Smart Scheduling will interface with iCal, and allow users to sync their schedules and transfer their appointments to their iPod, Palm PDA, cell phone, or PowerBook or iBook. Schedules can also be “published” to the Internet or a .Mac account.

Chairside Charting for iDental will ship in late summer or early fall. Chairside Charting offers digital charting for all procedures in the operatory, Chart Notes, and the Tooth Inspector, a unique tool for charting using drop-down menus, for the fastest possible results.

Finally, HeathWare has announced the first members of its iDental Widgets for Apple’s Dashboard feature. The Recall Widget and the Scheduling Widget will take advantage of Tiger technologies to give iDental users fast access to snapshots of their data in iDental. Additional iDental Widgets will be added throughout the year.
